as a member of an earlier generation, this fish story caught my eye. i read it when i subscribed to the walrus, and scrolled through your sight. i have had friends who raise fish, and i have always had dogs, and or cats. it was refreshing to hear that not everyone considers animals as acoutrements, worn or shown as assessories to sad and meaninless lives. cherishing people and animals and the world in general would go a long way to rectifying our problems. and how refreshing that so many people cared enough to help out.
