This is a beautiful photo essay. It's refreshing to see a part of our country covered that is not usually as visible. Each photograph really captures the subject beautifully. The photographer is extremely talented.

Just read about this place on Wiki. after a random look at a map. I had some preconceived ideas of what the people would look like...everyone with beards and bear skins on the floors. Boy I was wrong!! People in California think of Minnesota(where I live) as people fighting off wolves etc and I thought the same of the upper parts of Canada. Thank you for the education

Thanks for the reminder of what the Arctic was like. I spent 6 years in the north, but came south almost 20 years ago. I still miss it.
